2. Information we collect
Depending on your interaction, we collect contact and address details; quote and order data; device model, condition, IMEI or serial number; ownership and fraud-check evidence; communications; payment instructions and payment status; postage and tracking data; inspection records and photographs; IP address, browser and security logs; and consent or marketing preferences.
3. Why we use it and our lawful bases
Contract: to provide quotes, manage orders, inspect devices, arrange postage and returns, and make payments.
Legal obligation: accounting, tax, fraud prevention, law-enforcement cooperation and responding to valid legal requests.
Legitimate interests: securing the service, preventing fraud, resolving disputes, improving operations and keeping an audit trail, balanced against your rights.
Consent: optional marketing and non-essential cookies where consent is required. You may withdraw consent at any time.
4. Who receives information
We share only what is reasonably necessary with service providers such as Shopify (storefront), Cloudflare (hosting and security), Resend (transactional email), Royal Mail or another carrier (postage and returns), Wise or banking providers (payments), PhoneCheck or equivalent diagnostic services, and professional advisers or authorities where lawful.
5. International transfers
Some suppliers may process information outside the UK. Where UK data protection law requires it, we use an approved transfer mechanism or rely on another lawful safeguard and assess the protection available.
6. Retention
We keep order, payment, accounting and contract records for up to six years after the relevant accounting period or transaction, where needed for legal claims, tax or company records. Security, diagnostic and support records are kept only as long as reasonably necessary for the stated purpose. Unsuccessful quote data and marketing data are deleted or anonymised when no longer needed, subject to legal or fraud-prevention requirements.
7. Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may ask for access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability or objection; withdraw consent; and complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office. Rights are not absolute and we may need to verify identity.
8. Device data
Erase and back up your device before posting. If personal data remains, we limit access to what is reasonably necessary for testing, security and legal compliance and take reasonable steps to erase it securely.
